I've been procrastinating this. terrible at self-introductions. I'm the epitome of the quote by Alan Watts: trying to define yourself is like trying to bite your own teeth.

name's V. yeah, just V. don't ask what it stands for, or what was on my original documents-- they were Baby Boy {LastName} anyway, and what I went by in grade school is about as relevant as how much I weighed then. I used to do MMA, was decently successful at that so if I look familiar that might be why. I do a podcast now, Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction, two-part episodes twice a month. the first ep dealing with true stories of weirdness (everything from true crime like DB Cooper to urban legend like the Jersey Devil, and the in-between ala the Battle of Los Angeles), the second being fiction based off of the true episode or something related to it.

what's your favorite weird thing, Woodburn? I confess I may be harvesting episode ideas here.

Hey, Woodburn! I'm Stella!

I'm from Washington state originally, though I moved to New York as a teen. Decided it's time for a real beach in my life, and I hear the music scene down here is pretty good. I went to LaGuardia, then Julliard, though I was the rebel child who liked playing pop and cover interpretations of metal songs too much for their refined tastes. Music doesn't pay the bills oftentimes, at least not until I get in with a studio and/or a club that wants a live pianist, so you may see me around town in a different job here or there.

My question to you is... what's your guilty pleasure? What makes those in your life scowl, but you heart sing too much to give it up?

Hey there, folks. You might've seen, over the last few months, a fella in a black hood with some facepaint around your community as a street performer. I read tarot, play cup games, human statue, drumming, juggle, any number of things, used to be a carnie, et cetera. Lived a nomadic existence for a long while, but decided that Woodburn is a place to stay, so the RV has officially parked.

I've got a lease on a shop down on the south end of the beach that'll be called Smoke & Mirrors, off an earlier incarnation I used to have in an amusement park many years back. Herbal based stuff. Teas for hot and cold preparation, smoke mixtures, bath bombs, soaps, bar shampoos and conditioners and lotions, incenses and any number of smell-goods, and extracts/essential oils and loose herbs for those of you who prefer the raw ingredients. Have lines on quality raw ingredients, including beeswax for the bars, which might branch into beeswax candles as well. Kinda looking to capture the beach in a signature smell for the tourists to take home, though it might become a series based on places I've been.

Which leads me to my question. If you could go anywhere you haven't been before, where would you go?

Introductions always feel so fake and silly, still going to do one though.

Hello loves I'm Bridget! Mad baker, shameless flirt, coffee lover and all around fun person.

I own Cherry on Top bakery and everything we serve comes from my southern grandma's cookbook. Yes southern...so you know it's good!

Coming up on the one year anniversary of my bakeries big opening, which if you ask me is pretty damn exciting. What are you most excited about in your life right now?

Hello world of Woodburn. Matt here. I have been a nomadic freak for the past however long. Looking to find something a little more permanent.

I'm curious, what has been the craziest thing you've ever done to impress someone? It could be possible mate, either the same or opposite sex. Or someone in a position that commands respect and you desired their respect.

Me, it was for a girl. Back in my later teen years. I wanted to become the man this woman wanted and desired. So I decided to steal a car. A powerful sports car, and then I decided to get her to stop in her car and I proceeded to do wide donuts around her in the car I stole. You know kinda like that one movie. It failed though unlike the movie. She just laughed, especially when the cops came down the road, obviously after me.

Yeah that's me.

Heeeey Woodburn! I’m Missy.

What’s the most ridiculous nickname you’ve ever had? What nickname have you been called that’s your favorite? My favorite is Princess.

I’m Dom. Or Dominic. Or hey you over there. I know it looks like I just copied the weed dealer down there, but I swear I started writing it first and she distracted me to steal it. She’s shady like that.

Anyway. I spend a large part of my time doing sfx makeup for horror movies. So, tell me Florida, what’s your biggest fear?

Hello My name is Von. I’m the lead singer of a band, which brings me to a question for all of you. If you had to and there was no way out of it, what would you sing at karaoke night?

Yo. I’m Sin and I ask weird shit like this: If you were on death row, what would your last meal be comprised of? I probably would want blueberry pancakes.
